Bhairav Nath Temple

Bhairav Nath Temple is a pagoda style temple dedicated to Lord Bhairav, the dreadful aspect of Lord Shiva. Bhairav Nath Temple is located a short distance from the Nyatapola Temple in UNESCO world heritage sites Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The Bhairav Nath Temple was constructed by King Jagat Jyoti Malla in a limited way. The Bhairav Nath Temple was later rebuilt by King Bhupatindra Malla, a zealous lover of art in what is now a three-story temple. If we study the reputable history of Mall Kings not only in Bhaktapur, but also in Kathmandu (Kantipur) and Patan (Lalitpur), then we can well notice how dedicated almost all the Malls Kings towards the art, architecture and culture of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. It is really the proud of Nepali people to have the ancient art, sculpture, architecture and culture still the same as before.
