Pokhara is the most beautiful city in Nepal. It is situated in the central part of Nepal. It is naturally beautiful and has a clean environment. Pokhara is a small valley surrounded by hills and tall mountains. The city lies on the bank of Phewa Lake and on the lap of Mt. Fishtail. The clean and still water of the lake reflect Mt. Fishtail and attracts thouosands of tourists. David falls, Mahendra cave, Mahendra bridge, and the vanishing Seti river are places worth seeing in Pokhara. There is a temple named Barahi in the middle of the lake. Many pilgrims and tourists visit the temple. It’s really incredible and a gift of nature. We can enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, etc. We can trek to the Annapurna range and go hiking to different places around Pokhara.

The climate in Pokhara is moderate. It rains a lot. So it is called the Cherapunji of Nepal. the hillsides around Pokhara are settled by different ethnic groups like Gurung, Thakali, Magar, etc. They have their own language, culture and lifestyle. Tourism is the main income of the people in Pokhara. Most of the people are involved in the tourism industry and the Nepalese, British and Indian armies. There is a hilltop called Sarangkot from where we can see a clear view of the city and the sunrise and sunset. Many luxurious hotels and restaurants are available in Pokhara. Many tourists from various countries visit Pokhara. A tourist who doesn’t visit Pokhara, has an unsuccesful visit to Nepal.
