Overview on trekking Langtang Helambu:

Helambu trekking is one of the most accessible treks around Kathmandu, located in a region rich in low altitude ranging from Lauribina La Pass to the Melamchi valley. The trekking areas are inhabited by Hyolmos ethnicities, Tamang and Sherpas. You will observe the terraced rice fields and oak forests, Mount Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Everest. Visit the most important villages and Tarke Ghyang Sermathang.

Langtang trekking is close enough to the Kathmandu area (a densely populated city or capital of Nepal); however Langtang Helambu area is apart from the world. There is a wide variety of landscapes (forests, pastures of yaks, mountain lakes, high mountains …). The cultural aspect is not left at the crossing and its villages of Helambu Sherpas.

Trekking Langtang Helambu Daily:

Duration: 14 days. Depart Kathmandu, Kathmandu end.

1: KATHMANDU-Dhunche (transport by road. 7h)
2: Dhunche-Syabru (1800-2100m) 5h
3: Syabru LAMA HOTEL (2100-2400m) 5h
4: LAMA HOTEL-LANGTANG VILLAGE (2400-3500m). The largest village of the Tamang region. Grazing yaks.
5: LANGTANG VILLAGE-KYANJI GOMPA (3500-3850m). Last village in the upper valley. Cheese.
6: KYANJI GOMPA: Exploration. Ascension of the moraine north (4400m), the Tsergo Ri (5000m).
9: Syabru-Sing Gompa (3200m). Monastery, gompa and cheese
10: SING-GOMPA Gosainkund (4380m). Beautiful mountain lakes
11: Gosainkund-GHOPTE (3400m)
12: GHOPTE-Kutumsang. Beautiful villages of Sherpa ethnicity.
13: Kutumsang-Chisapani
14: Chisapani-Sundarijal, then drive up to Kathmandu (1:00)
