Nepal is one of the most amazing and beautiful places in the common home the earth. The country is well recognized as the county of Mount Everest (8848m) above the sea level. Eight of the world’s fourteen highest mountains are situated in the Himalayan range of Nepal. This might be the reason behind calling the country as “The Himalayan Kingdom”. Many of these mountains have been given trekking and climbing permission. The country has become a well-known trekking destination. Not only the mountains and highest peaks, Nepal is famous for natural vegetation and herb. From the total geographical area of the country 35% of the land has covered by forest. Once it used to be said “Hariyo Ban Nepal Ko Dhan”, this implicates green forest is the wealth of Nepal. Nepal has given a keen interest on protecting the wildlife so 20% of the land is protected as national park. This has helped to conserve many rare species of flora and fauna from the earth. The protected areas have conserve more than 848 species of birds and 319 species of exotic orchids not to mention 11 of the world’s 15 families of butterflies. There is diversity in races and languages in Nepal. People have their own languages, cultural values and norms, but they share common language so called Nepali language between ethnic groups. According to statistical report, there are total of 60 ethnic groups in Nepal and even 92 spoken languages among the ethnic groups and minorities. Nepal has preserved so many cultural and religious heritages from ancient time. Most of the monuments are still the same as before. Some of the important cultural and religious heritage sites are listed in UNESCO world heritage sites such as Lumbini, Swayambhunath shrine, Pashupatinath temple, Changunarayan temple, Boudhanath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. There are total of 10 world heritage sites in Nepal. Sagarmatha National Park and Chitwan National Park are also listed in world heritage sites. It is said there are over 3000 historical temple throughout the country. Similarly there are 1200 monasteries and Lamasteries in all across the country. Some of the temples, shrines and religious places are shared by both the Hinduism and Buddhism. The apparent example of religious tolerance can be felt in Nepal. There has never become religious violence in Nepal. People have been staying in the same threshold from ancient time. Definitely there are natural treasures in Nepal. The country is rich in nature and natural resources. There is nature’s awesome amphitheatre. There is complicated geographical structure and extremely varied landscape in the country. Really Nepal is mystical and mesmerizing which can lures any of the people in the world. There are so many pristine lakes, rivers and glaciers in Nepal. In south parts of the country there are thick tropical jungles. One horned rhino is found on that jungle, the rhino can find nowhere in the world. Of course, the forests and jungles are the amazing habitat of wildlife like royal Bengal tigers. Nepal is a holy land in a sense where religion is a way of life and of course the country is the Birthplace of Lord Buddha. The country is the melting point of Hinduism and Buddhism. There are many temples as houses and as many gods as people. Most of the grand and ancient architecture are located in Kathmandu Valley. The capital city Kathmandu is a city of temples and chiming bells. In addition, Bhaktpur is the city of devotees and similarly Patan is the city of fine art that is why the city is called Lalitpur as well. World’s most famous Hindu shrine Shree Pashupatinath is also located in Kathmandu. People are very friendly, honest and hospitable. They regard guests as gods. Nepal is the country known as the home of living goddess.

Nepal is also flourishing as a adventure tourism destination such as trekking, hiking, climbing, rafting, kayaking, paragliding, cycling, canoeing, micro light aircraft, cable car, boating, golfing, mountain flight, jungle safari,  mountaineering, Bunjee jumping are some example of adventurous phenomenon. During trekking in Nepal, it is the best way to experience culture and nature simultaneously.
